Improv and Outtakes

This album, released exclusively as a free download here at The Woebegotten Wonderland in 2008, is a collection of acoustic and electric instrumental excursions featuring Tom Baker's breathtaking improvisational skills and creativity. The first eight tracks on this album are all improvisations recorded live in the studio utilizing the Boomerang looper. The last four tracks are outtakes from other projects remixed and rearranged using Audacity.

Les Pretentious Poseur

This album, released in 2006, represents what happens when Tom Baker sheds all of his musical inhibitions. Tom shows off his versitility with styles ranging from intricate finger picking to free jazz to avant garde noise rock that almost sounds industrial at times. Les Pretentious Poseur features nine original instrumental compositions including Seeking, Theme, Delayed, Cacophonous Wanking, Pompeii, High Water, Reprise, Obligatory Happy Ending, and Post Script.

Mrs. O'Leary's Cow

This limited edition CD was released in 2006 and features Tom Baker's composition and songwriting skills over his ability to play virtuosic guitar solos. The mood of this album is relatively dark and the lyrics, especially for Naked and Stay, are candid and display depth and vulnerability not before seen in Tom Baker's music. This album also features Dave Chapman on drums for Mrs. O'Leary's Cow and Jason Baker on harmonica for Stay. Songs include Mrs. O'Leary's Cow, On The Loss of Your..., Naked, Stay, and Brand New Day.

Significantly South of Serenity

This album, released in 2004, was Tom Baker's first solo album after the breakup of Dave's Not Here. The first half of the album shows off Tom's songwriting skills, especially on the surprisingly pop sensitive When You Cry and Confidence. The second half is all instrumental, showing Tom's impressive soloing ability, especially on the shred-fest Fly Trap. Tracks include When You Cry, Confidence, Holy, Angels, Crumb Cake Castles, Fly Trap, Better Days, Will's Song (featuring Will Shafer, who composed the piece, on bass), and Good Riddance.
